Sharing SalesMail videos on LinkedIn

Sharing SalesMail videos on LinkedIn

There are three ways to share SalesMail videos on LinkedIn posts, with different advantages for each.  No matter which of these methods you use, you will always be able to take advantage of the SalesMail Lenses to add a beautify, holiday, message, and/or sentiment effects to your videos.

Download and share the animated GIF - Sharing the animated gif from your SalesMail video (especially if you use an eye-catching Lens like the custom whiteboard), will capture attention and you can drive people to your video within your post content.  Learn how by following this quick guide: How to Post Your SalesMail Animated GIF on LinkedIn.

Copy & paste - If you copy your SalesMail video link and paste it into a LinkedIn post, LinkedIn will automatically pull in a video preview thumbnail that people can click on to launch the SalesMail viewer site and watch your video with your branding, custom Call To Action buttons, and other SalesMail features such as download contact card, click to call, etc.

Upload a .mp4 video file - Alternatively, you can download a copy of the .mp4 video you recorded in SalesMail, and then upload that video file into a post.  When you do it that way, you lose your branding and SalesMail features, but the video plays directly in the post as people scroll their feed and takes up a bit more real estate in their feed as well.

To download the SalesMail animated GIF to share in a picture LinkedIn Post:
1. Log into the SalesMail portal.
2. Find the video you want to share and click the Share button next to it.
3. On the Share page, you’ll see the animated preview of your video (the moving thumbnail).
4. Right-click on the animated GIF and select "Save Image As...".
5. Save the GIF file to your computer — somewhere easy to find like your Desktop or Downloads folder.
6. In LinkedIn, start a photo post and upload your animated GIF.  Include a link to your SalesMail video within the content of your post (see below for how to grab the SalesMail video link).

To copy and paste a SalesMail link into a LinkedIn post:
1. Log into SalesMail, navigate to the video you want to share, and hit the Share button.
2. Click 'Share via Text' if you are using the SalesMail portal or 'Copy Link' if you are using the SalesMail mobile app.
3. In LinkedIn, start a post, right-click in the body of the post, and then paste the link into the post.

To download a SalesMail video .mp4 and then upload it into a LinkedIn post:
1. Log into the SalesMail Portal at https://portal.mysalesmail.com
2. Click 'My Videos' on the left.
3. Click the thumbnail of the video you want to download.
4. Click the dot dot dot menu in the lower left of the video area:

LinkedIn will then allow you to upload your .mp4 video from your computer/device.
