There are two ways to share SalesMail videos on LinkedIn posts, with different advantages for each. No matter which of these two methods you use, you will always be able to take advantage of the SalesMail Lenses to add a beautify, holiday, message, and/or sentiment effects to your videos.
Copy & paste - If you copy your SalesMail video link and paste it into a LinkedIn post, LinkedIn will automatically pull in a video preview thumbnail that people can click on to launch the SalesMail viewer site and watch your video with your branding, custom Call To Action buttons, and other SalesMail features such as download contact card, click to call, etc.
Upload a .mp4 video file - Alternatively, you can download a copy of the .mp4 video you recorded in SalesMail, and then upload that video file into a post. When you do it that way, you lose your branding and SalesMail features, but the video plays directly in the post as people scroll their feed and takes up a bit more real estate in their feed as well.
To copy and paste a SalesMail link into a LinkedIn post:
1. Log into SalesMail, navigate to the video you want to share, and hit the Share button.
2. Click 'Share via Text' if you are using the SalesMail portal or 'Copy Link' if you are using the SalesMail mobile app.
3. In LinkedIn, start a post, right-click in the body of the post, and then paste the link into the post.
To download a SalesMail video .mp4 and then upload it into a LinkedIn post:
2. Click 'My Videos' on the left.
3. Click the thumbnail of the video you want to download.
4. Click the dot dot dot menu in the lower left of the video area:
5. Click 'Download' to save the file.
6. In LinkedIn, create a new post and hit the Video button.
LinkedIn will then allow you to upload your .mp4 video from your computer/device.
