Sending SalesMail with HubSpot
SalesMail videos can be included in messages you send from HubSpot and your sales team can receive real time push notifications and engagement details showing them who watched the video. Here are the instructions to add a video to a regular email in HubSpot, but similar steps can be followed to add SalesMail videos to marketing emails in HubSpot as well.
- In HubSpot, start a new email draft.
- Click the "+" icon under the "Content" section on the left.
- Drag the "HTML" option from the left panel into the email draft on the right.
Go to My Videos in your SalesMail Portal.
Click the Share button next to the video you want to send.
Because this is a bulk email, expand the Email Intro section and delete any AI-generated intro text before copying your SalesMail video. This lets you write your own intro directly in your bulk email tool (like HubSpot or your CRM) and use its personalization tokens as needed.
In the Share Your SalesMail section, click the ⋯ (three dots) menu.
Select Use Merge Tags When Available item at the bottom of that menu (this will stay selected for future shares).
Choose your platform template (e.g. HubSpot).
Scroll to the bottom and click Copy Full HTML (or Partial HTML if that works better in your platform).
- Go back to your HubSpot email draft. Right-click in the Edit HTML box on the left, and select "Paste". You may ignore the warnings in red that show up beneath the box or any pop ups that say "Style tag in custom module."; they do not impact the template or deliverability of your message.
- Continue to customize your message as you see fit and then send.
- This message will show up as an activity on the contact record in HubSpot.
