Before:
When you shared a SalesMail video link in bulk emails, your Activity Feed and Video Details pages would only show geolocation data (city/state) for each viewer.
Now:
When you send using our new view tracking feature, you’ll see:
✅ Viewer names and emails in your Activity Feed and Video Details page
✅ Viewer names and emails in push notifications when someone watches or comments on your video
✅ Instant identification of hot leads directly in your SalesMail mobile app push notifications
This feature currently works with:
HubSpot
Zoho
WelcomeHome (requires following these special instructions)
💡 Need it for another platform? No problem — just let your Client Success Specialist know, and we can add it.
Here’s a quick step-by-step using HubSpot as an example:
Go to My Videos in your SalesMail Portal.
Click the Share button next to the video you want to send.
Because this is a bulk email, expand the Email Intro section and delete any AI-generated intro text before copying your SalesMail video. This lets you write your own intro directly in your bulk email tool (like HubSpot or your CRM) and use its personalization tokens as needed.
In the Share Your SalesMail section, click the ⋯ (three dots) menu.
Select Use Merge Tags When Available item at the bottom of that menu (this will stay selected for future shares).
Choose your platform template (e.g. HubSpot).
Scroll to the bottom and click Copy Full HTML (or Partial HTML if that works better in your platform).
In your marketing platform (HubSpot in this example), create a new email.
Add an HTML module and paste the code.
Finish building your email and send it to your list.
As recipients watch your video, their names will now appear in the following places:
Activity Feed (portal*)
Video Details (portal*)
Real-time push notifications (mobile app)
* View tracking will also be added to the mobile app Video Details and Activity Feed soon!
If you don’t see your platform listed, contact your Client Success Specialist — we can add it quickly.
Once you enable Use Merge Tags When Available, it stays enabled for all future shares until you change it.
You’ll still see geolocation data for viewers who come from other sources (like 1:1 shares).
If you have any questions or need assistance setting this up, please reach out to your Client Success Specialist — we’re happy to walk you through it.
