When pasting into Outlook my logo looks off center and contact info is in black font

Have you noticed that when you paste a SalesMail into Outlook, your company logo is no longer centered and your contact info is in black font rather than your company's colors?  If so, you probably had a recent update to your Microsoft Office Suite, in which Microsoft changed the default setting for pasting to "Merge Formatting".

There are two options to paste your SalesMail and keep source formatting so it looks just right.

Option A: Use the 'Keep Source Formatting' option each time you paste

First, when you go to paste a SalesMail into an email draft in Outlook - simply right-click within the email draft and select the the "Keep Source Formatting" option as shown below.  This will paste your SalesMail and keep everything looking exactly as it should.

Option B: Change your default settings back to 'Keep Source Formatting'

If you don't want to remember to right-click and select 'Keep Source Formatting' each time, you can change your default Microsoft Office settings back to "Keep Source Formatting" rather than "Merge Formatting".

1. In Outlook, go to File -> Options -> Mail.
2. Click on 'Editor Options' on the right.

3. Select the 'Advanced' menu option:

4.  Scroll down to the 'Cut, copy, and paste' section and change the 'Pasting from other programs' setting to 'Keep Source Formatting' as shown below.

5.  Press 'Ok' to Save.
