Mobile App: Upload videos recorded on your phone to share & track via SalesMail

Note:  Make sure your SalesMail app is updated to access this new feature!

The SalesMail mobile app enables you to upload videos from your phone that are between 5 seconds and 6 minutes long into your SalesMail account.  Then you can share and track them from your SalesMail mobile app or SalesMail portal just like a regular SalesMail video!

To upload a video from your phone into your SalesMail account:

1. Open your SalesMail mobile app and tap the Results menu item at the bottom.
2. Tap the upload icon at the upper right. The first time you do this you will be prompted to give the SalesMail app permission to your Photo Library.  We suggest choosing 'Allow Full Access' for ease of use.
3. Choose a video from the thumbnails that appear.  Note that videos that are too short (<5 sec.) or too long (>6 min.) will have a red bar indicating that and cannot be selected.
4. Once you tap the video you want to upload, it will take you to a page where you can preview the video and choose to Approve it for upload, or return back to the previous page to select a different video.
5. After your selected video has uploaded, you will be taken to the share screen where you can share it however you want, just like a normal SalesMail!

Please note that videos recorded directly within the SalesMail app are optimized for fast processing and upload, while videos recorded using your phone's camera app (especially high def) may be much larger files and take longer to process.  If you choose to record a video on your phone camera, use a lower resolution (not HD or 4k), otherwise your SalesMail animated preview and thumbnails may end up looking washed out/lighter in addition to the upload taking longer.

Click here for instructions on how to upload video files using the SalesMail Desktop Portal.

If you need to upload a video longer than 6 minutes, email us at support@heartlegacy.zohodesk.com or reach out to your Client Success Specialist and we are happy to assist.

*If you choose to provide 'Limited Access' to your Photo Library, you may have to periodically go to the Settings app on your phone and update your SalesMail Photos permissions so that it has access to the videos you want to upload.  We suggest setting your permissions to 'Allow Full Access' to your photos for ease of use.
