Tips to help us create fantastic videos as quickly as possible

When submitting footage to HeartLegacy, it helps our video editing team if we receive some key information about the video you would like us to produce.  We can create a fantastic video as quickly as possible if you send the following information to your account manager or in the notes in Hightail:

Video Subject:

• Usually we can derive a subject based on the footage, but it helps when we know up front. What is the subject of the video? Is there a concept you are trying to convey? (e.g., Outing to the museum, “Residents Splash Into Summer With a Trip to the Aquarium!”, etc.)

Video Title:

• We usually take creative license when titling your video based on the subject, but if you have a specific title, please let us know. (e.g., “Nature Walk at Oak Town Park”)

Video Order:

• We do a great job in creating a story for you with the order of your footage, but you may have an order you would like to see. Is there a specific order to the footage? (e.g., Video of the lady in red, then the pictures of corn hole, then ice cream video, etc.)

Video Must-Haves:

• We always use the best footage you send, but sometimes we may leave certain things out due to quality or subject matter not relating to the overall video. Are there any pieces of footage that you must have that you would like us to take note of? (e.g., Please use the clip where Sally says “I love working here!,” Please include Frank saying how much he likes having events in the courtyard, etc.)

Video Length:

• Videos are typically 1 to 1.5 minutes due to viewer attention spans on social media. We can certainly create a longer video if you would like, but recommend shorter length videos when posting to social media. Is there a specific length you would like for the video?
