New Socially-Optimized Square Video Format for HeartLegacy Videos

In the spirit of offering our partners the latest-and-greatest, “square” format HeartLegacy marketing videos are now available!  If you’re not familiar with the square format, square videos are the preferred layout for your favorite social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.  When you share a square video on social, square videos show up much larger in social feeds  (see example below), making them attract more attention.

Going forward, our video editors will choose the best format (widescreen vs. square format) for each of the videos we produce for you, based on your preferences/requirements and the content you submit.   As usual, keep on sending HeartLegacy a variety of video footage and photos and always hold your phone horizontally while recording.  We can't wait to get started on your first square marketing video!

What is different about the outro for a widescreen versus a square HeartLegacy marketing video?

Because of reduced horizontal space in a square video, outros do not include the physical address of the community.  If a full physical address is required in your videos, we will produce them in widescreen.

When will a widescreen video be produced instead of a square video?

There are certain cases where the HeartLegacy team will produce a widescreen video rather than a square video.  Here is a description of some of those cases:
  1. You prefer widescreen.  If you tell us you want widescreen, we will produce widescreen.
  2. Your video footage or photos don't lend well to a square format.  Typically things like photos or video footage of your grounds or exteriors of buildings would be better presented in a widescreen format.
  3. You require more space for your logo, address, etc.  If your marketing team requires that we use a wide logo and/or if you must include the full physical address of the community in the outro, we will likely need to use a widescreen format so that information will fit and display properly.
